I love to read Lani Lynn Vale books because she writes about everyday life situations 

True emotions and doesn't sugar coat it!

This one in particular was raw and honest but kept true to her characters..

Strong possessive men and kickass women that brush the dust off and keep on going

when times get rough..

Yes they're insta-love in some instances but you have to keep it fun..

Another amazing addition and I'll most definitely continue to read 

whatever Ms. Vale gives us!!!

Something that takes his mind off of the challenge of everyday life. Someone that dares him to be a better father and police officer. 

And Lennox is one hell of a motivator. 

Their relationship starts off rocky as the two of them circle each other like opponents ready to do combat rather than two civil adults. Every day brings a new battle for the two of them to overcome, and before they realize it, they’ll be fighting for each other instead of against each other. 

Because there’s one woman who doesn’t want either one of them to be happy…especially not together.

Well these two did way more than kiss that's for sure!!

BENNETT definitely met his match with LENNOX.. she was all hard core steal on the outside but so vulnerable and insecure on the inside which was perfect IMO...

Lennox was all sass and heart but you had to earn that love...

Bennett wasn't dealt an easy hand but being the Bomb Diggity single Dad won him some serious brownie points..

I was so ready for Bennett's' story and thoroughly enjoyed it. We got to see the Dad, Swat member and Lover all in one and boy was he the total package!! There were only a few instances I could have knocked him across the head but in all honesty I could see where he was coming from.. Although communication would have been key.. 

Just saying! 

Lennox was the total package kick-ass, Smart, Ambitious and Loyal.. Once she let those walls down she was all in....

She was fiercely protective of Reagan, didn't beat around the bush when she wanted o get her point across and had a heart of gold!

Again another fun, witty, action packed story..  Tons of laugh out loud moments with sill that attention grabbing undertone of suspense.. I cannot emphasis enough how much I enjoy catching up with old characters and getting the lay of the land on what comes next!!!

P.S.  so happy no favorite pets died during this installment not sure I could have taken another shocker like that.. I'm still not over (you know who..)

Charlie Fox Trot (Code -11 KPD SWAT, #5) ~ Lani Lynn Vale

Foster made a promise in his hospital bed when his leg was taken from him that he’d get back to one hundred percent. Leg or no leg, he’d get back on the SWAT team if it killed him.

And he does get back. But he has a problem.

He can’t let go of the past.

The anger burns deep, making his emotions volatile at the best of times.

Then he meets Blake with her haughty attitude and inability to distinguish the difference between a pocket knife and a sword.

Little by little, she makes him whole again, one bad joke at a time.

She doesn’t see the revenge in his eyes, though. Doesn’t see the rage burning deep.

Rage so pure and all encompassing, that he knows it’ll explode.

It’s just a matter of time.

What Foster doesn’t realize, though, is that the love that Blake has for him is enough to fight his demons, one kiss at a time.

Foster never stood a chance.

These Spurlock men have been absolutely divine!!

Foster was one of my fave's

He didn't let the cards he was dealt hold him down.. No W'oh is me from Foster!!

He got back into the game and came back better and stronger!!

A teeny bit jaded but nothing that deterred Blake..

Blake was what Foster needed in his life she was spunky, motivated, optimistic 

and 

had tons of Love.. She didn't let her previous marriage affect her in anyway and 

had a great rock to lean on with her father, uncle & gramps..

Lani Lynn Vale definitely nailed it for me with this one..
Every single little thing I have raved about in her books was front and center..

I balled my freaking eyes out and then laughed through out!!

You know it's a good read when all these feels are brought out..

Looking forward to Bennett's story.. 

He's been around for quiet some time and I know for sure 

I can't wait to see what his perfect other half will be like..

Bang Switch (Code 11 - KPD SWAT, #3) ~ Lani Lynn Vale

Lachlan Downy was a lover, not a fighter. 

Okay, he wouldn't lie, he was a fighter, too. But nobody had to know that. Especially not Memphis Tennessee Conner and her stuffy attitude when it came to cops and ‘men like him.’ 

Memphis knew cops. Her daddy was a cop. He was also the president of a motorcycle club. Needless to say, he’s about as alpha as they come, and she’s tired of overbearing men who think they know how to run her life better than she does. 

So when Downy comes into her life running his smooth talking mouth, she realizes that she’ll have to stand strong against his pretty words and promises to give her what she needs. 

Downy is determined, though. 

He’s the hostage negotiator for KPD SWAT, and he’s never met a person, man or woman, he couldn't talk around into his way of thinking. 

Although, Memphis is about to show him just how much he miscalculated. 

Seems Downy may not be as smooth as he thought, and Memphis is just the girl to show him the error of his ways. 

Memphis knew what it meant to be the sole focus of "Men like Him" she grew up surrounded by it and left it behind her. She did everything she could to be independent and relied on herself to get where she wanted to be. But being so young and stubborn as well as having a bunch of obstacles thrown at her...

 lead her straight into Downy's arms.

Downy was just getting his feet wet at different duties with his SWAT team and with a few 

of his own disastrous events seemed to draw into himself. All this while trying to start an actual relationship with Memphis something neither one of them were used to as well as having a whopping age gap between them.

I have devoured everyone of these books but have to sadly admit this one just didn't do it 

for me.

It still had tons that I've learned to look forward to like the loyalty, humor and steamy hot scenes but it lacked the connection between Downy & Memphis.

Downy seemed to blame their issues on the age difference when in reality he was sort of 

the immature one - he ignored Memphis and closed in on himself and somehow thought Memphis could read minds and know what was going on. He then expected her to disregard 

all his f@*#k ups but somehow managed to make it seem as if what went wrong was her fault.. She definitely forgave him WAY to quickly

There were a few scenes that threw me for a loop but the plot was great, the action was 

non stop and Downy & Memphis were hands down the hottest couple I've read in this series.. Downy was a serious Dirty Talker and Memphis brought out the kinky in him!!

Hey not loving one book out of all I've read by Lani Lynn Vale is still amazing and I seem

 to be the minority in my thoughts anyway since everyone else LOVED it.. 

Can't wait to continue catching up with the rest of  KPD's SWAT team..

You just can't go wrong when you pick up a Lani Lynn Vale Book..

Every single book I've read and I've read EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. has been stellar!!

Nico was broody, protective, caring, just Perfect in every way that counts

He knew Georgia was the one from when he first laid eyes on her but being brought up catholic as well as being 5 yrs her senior kept him from claiming her as his until the time was right.

Georgia was smart, competitive and beautiful inside and out! A tragedy took everything away when she was just 18 but made her a survivor. She did what she had to do for her brothers and took all the crap she was dished, planted it and nourished it till it flourished!!

Both Nico and Georgia had their pasts to deal with but one thing that pulled at my heart strings was they BOTH knew they were meant to be, they didn't deny it or have all the typical misunderstandings playing havoc. When the time was right they got the HEA they both knew they deserved.

I've said it before and I'll say it again this spin-off series is amazing.. the vibe is more subdued but still sexy & hot as hell..

We get our laughs and catch up with old friends as well as new.. what's there not to LOVE!!

Center Mass (Code -11 KPD SWAT, #1) ~ Lani Lynn Vale

Center Mass definitely had a more serious, suspenseful undertone..

So much so I had to bust out the tissues with this one..

Reese was just to cute with her Super Hero Scrubs and her daughter was her world.

"I wasn't a fan of animated movies. I also wasn't a fan of theaters. 

But I'd do just about anything for my daughter, even sit in a theater with kids who wouldn't shut the fuck up." ~Reese

Reese was a bit jaded when it came to relationships due to her ex but of course Luke managed to weasel himself  in.

"A man's shirt on a woman's naked body is like raising a flag on a conquered fortress." ~Luke

Luke was just the perfect father ~ I love to see (and read about) hot daddies that would lay the world at their kiddies feet. We got his back story which I was looking forward to since his first appearance. 

As usual when reading anything by Lani Lynn Vale (which I have read EVERYTHING) you get the Protective Alpha,

Family Banter, Loyal Friends, a great plot (this one a lot more intense) and Humor!

We also got to meet new characters and got to see what the old ones have been up to..

Another great read and I'm left again anxiously anticipating the next!

Grayson is everything her father warned her about, but there’s just something about him that intrigues her. That makes her want more. 

The man's a firefighter. How bad could he be? 

Line… 

Apparently, he could be way worse than bad, but he could also be so very, very good. Something Tru realizes, rather quickly, when the two can no longer fight the pull that’s between them. 

Now there’s only one word she wants to hear when it comes to him: his.

Another great addition to this series!!
Total different vibe with Torren though, he was more the silent type wore his heart on his sleeve and even with his past still had a heart of gold and every decision he made was done with someone else's best interest in mind.
Which we got the gist of in Life To My Flight when he put his life on the line...





We still get the hot yummy bad boy that was super protective and mega sexy!!
We also get to see the rest of the gang which is definitely a plus...
With this story we get a somewhat different set up with the villain and how it all played out which had an unexpected twist
We get another great heroine in Tru that wasn't whiney or needy she was exactly what Torren needed every step of the way and we get all the funny ass banter and humor I've come to love in Ms. Vale's books.
