She took the whole Mafia theme to another level, she spun it her way and did not disappoint!!

As usual when I think I've got the story figured out it's nothing like what I was expecting.. And that's exactly why I continue to pick up Ms Lane's books!!

Sugar was everything but sweet.. Well she was at some point.. 

She loves fiercely and is what ultimately kept her grounded.. Even with all she was dealt with she still wanted to do the right thing, no matter how the outcome would effect her!!

She's watched so much blood spilled

This was an absolute Mind Fuck!!

I just didn't know what to believe.. the Title is so fitting

Nothing was as it seemed, but then again the story had you thinking it was so 

transparent when it really wasn't..

Whitney tried to move on.. tried hard to put her

what's a girl to think or do when the very thought of getting her hands on

Were her daydreams real? did she have anything to do with all the murders taking place?

This read was filled with twists and turns,,

I thought I was having a nervous breakdown while reading it.

It felt sort of like a "who done it" murder mystery..

This was a total mind fuck of epic proportion!!

It was broken down into 3 parts for us and I'll just let you know how each part affected 

me and you decide if you can handle the trip it's taken me through..

PART 1..

I was blindsided , I was gutted, I was left in utter shock!!

I was expecting a turn of events but no where near to the extent that we get..

I was fooled, the wool was so thoroughly pulled over my eyes I was clueless and I 

wanted to scream and rant and just throat punch someone due to the unfairness...

PART 2..

"You had to endure the pain to appreciate the pleasure"

BULLSHIT!!!

I wanted to grasp onto any semblance of redemption but there was none to be found

your just left trying to piece together the why's.. because clearly something is not meshing 

and everything must have been a lie or THIS LOVE was just not right...

"You said I should never love you because you wouldn't know how to handle it"

Finally a knight in shining armor? or more ulterior motives?

who can you trust.. why let anyone close if all you're going to do is hurt them!!

Just keep everyone at a distance.. But at what cost?

PART 3...

WHAT THE FUCK!!!

I did NOT see that Coming. At. All.

Please, Please, Please let there be an ending where Keaton is the Victor..

I don't think my heart nor hers for that matter can take another hit.. 

I want to hope for the best, I want there to be a healthy obsession but is there such a thing?

She might just need to trust blindly at this point..

I frankly don't see another option.. 

But I'm sure Courtney Lane does..

I can't disclose too much because I'll ruin the plot of the story..

But I can try to describe how this read made me feel!!

This was an Addictive, Mind Blowing, Erotic Thriller you won't be able to put down!!

Nothing was held back.. All my emotions were exposed.. I ranted, I cursed, I wanted to strangle them, I laughed and I cried.. A LOT..  Ugly cried..

So much took place in TDD, everything revealed, all cards laid out. I'll say it again about this final installment..It was raw, complex and gritty.

Eric finally saw the truth but was it too late?

Nikki made unnecessary sacrifices or did she? 

"This is more than love. Something that can't be described or defined. It's consuming and soul-shattering. You don't know what you did to me when you rescinded our deal. You broke me."

I'm not sure if  everyone would agree but I couldn't have imagined a different ending

Was I shocked? Most definitely but then I came to terms with it and accepted it.. and came to the realization that sometimes things are just too broken to be put back together again.. Sometimes the strongest aren't the biggest and baddest.. Strength comes in many ways and in many actions!!

So while I would LOVE for everyone to read this book/series heed the warnings

it's not for everyone but if you LOVE dark reads like I do it's a MUST!!

Reading TST was like being dropped off in the middle of an endless maze..

It was Wickedly Complex, Twisted, Gritty and Dark!!

So many players this time around Eric and Nikki are basically the pawns...

Eric was hands down one of the cockiest most sadistic, manipulative, narcissistic SOB's 

I've had the pleasure of reading about..   He's the type of Asshole you'll Hate to Love..

He'll have you creaming your panties while scaring you straight!

Eric was this beautiful demented man..

In The Sordid Promise he was untouchable, cunning and fearless..

We definitely got to see the Ethan side of him through his nightmares and what bits and pieces he fed Nikki of his damaged past..

He somehow managed to get snared in one of the many webs he's weaved - literally stuck

Oh what tangled webs we weave!!

Nikki just needed someone to confide in, a friend..

Just one Damn Friend!!!

But no one was stupid enough to dare extend that Olive Branch, they knew their 

lives would never be the same...

There were so many secrets, so many lies and deceit

I felt as if I was on a never ending roller coaster where the biggest drop was stuck on replay 

Over and Over again.

It was a total mind Fuck!!

It was bitter sweet to see Nikki start off so strong and then slowly start to come undone!!

She never once held her tongue no matter the consequence.. But she was no match for Eric

nor his sordid past..

Due to obvious reasons old and new she couldn't be 100% honest with Eric she held something's back to protect her heart and others to protect him.. But as they say no good deed goes unpunished and so it set off a chain of disastrous events!!

That ending!!! 

So much left unanswered, so many new players...

We were left with organized chaos..
