Unteachable ~ Leah Raeder

Unteachable

I met him at a carnival, of all corny places. The summer I turned eighteen, in that chaos of neon lights and cheap thrills, I met a man so sweet, so beautiful, he seemed to come from another world. We had one night: intense, scary, real. Then I ran, like I always do. Because I didn’t want to be abandoned again.

But I couldn’t run far enough.

I knew him as Evan that night. When I walked into his classroom, he became Mr. Wilke.

My teacher.

I don’t know if what we’re doing is wrong. The rules say one thing; my heart says screw the rules. I can’t let him lose his job. And I can’t lose him.

In the movies, this would have a happy ending. I grow up. I love, I lose, I learn. And I move on. But this is life, and there’s no script. You make it up as you go along.

And you don’t pray for a happy ending. You pray for it to never end.

Awesome writing that grasped me and didnt let go till the very last word..
Just the concept of the book was so taboo... but I did nothing but cheer this crazy relationship on even knowing the out come might not be good... The Blurb stated it all and set the vibe...

Not often I want to skip to the end to see what happens, but I wanted to soooo bad with this story.
So happy I didn't and just let the story play before me just like a movie.

Restoring Jordan ~ Elizabeth Finn

Restoring Jordan

Restoring Jordan by Elizabeth Finn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blurb:

When Adeline Parker decides to celebrate landing a coveted internship at one of Chicago’s most prestigious architectural firms by indulging in a brutally dark and handsome man, she gets more than she bargained for.

Lost in a maze of hallways on the first day of her new position, she stumbles headlong into a boardroom of suits. Very expensive suits. They are the somebodies of this prestigious firm, and she is, by all accounts, the very definition of a nobody. And sitting at the table with the rest of the principals from the firm is a man—the very man who unwittingly deflowered her only days before.

From the look of it, Jordan Ellinwood is none too happy to see her again; by his own admission, he’s a one-night-stand man, and the fact she conned him into taking her virginity isn’t sitting well with him either. But as her path is inextricably attached to his, their closeness will no longer be a choice.

As an intern, she’s off-limits, and that says nothing of the fact he’s twelve years older than she is. But when coworkers bent on jealousy and resentment threaten her reputation and internship, the long-dormant emotions Jordan has so effectively stifled fight to break free. And as he struggles to get out of his own way long enough to let her see his compassion, her career is jeopardized and leaves him fighting with every last ounce of himself to save her.

Will it be enough? Can he overcome his emotional shortcomings in time to rescue her future and his own—now so very attached to hers?

My Review:

4.5 I want a Hero like Jordan stars!!

Here's another one of those books you want to kick yourself for waiting so long to read.
From beginning to end it kept me engaged and had a great flow..
Even though Jordan wasn't able to voice his Feelings, his every action screamed his Love!

Adeline was shy but stood her ground with Jordan even though at times I wanted her to be as strong when it came to confronting her peers.. but I was able to understand her insecurities.

Twelfth Night ~ Kallista Dane

Twelfth NightTwelfth Night by Kallista Dane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blurb:

It's Christmas Eve and Kayla still doesn't have a special gift for her husband Matt. Times have been tough. Money is scarce. But money isn't their only problem. Matt has been cold and distant. Kayla's been stressed, losing her temper and taking her frustrations out on Matt.

Her conversation with an old man sparks an idea - she'll give Matt 12 envelopes on Christmas Eve, holding the promise of twelve erotic nights, each one naughtier than the last.

Matt has his own idea. He's determined to take charge at home. From now on, if Kayla acts like a child, throwing temper tantrums, he'll treat her like a child - even if it means yanking her over his lap for an old-fashioned bare bottom spanking every time.

Will living out Kayla's forbidden fantasies bring them closer together? Or will it be Matt's firm hand on her bottom?

Married for Christmas (Willow Park #1) ~ Noelle Adams

Married for Christmas (Willow Park, #1)Married for Christmas by Noelle Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blurb:

After years of dreaming, Jessica is finally getting married, but the marriage isn't exactly what she thought.

Daniel is her best friend, and she's known him all her life, but he's never gotten over losing his wife two years ago. His dream is to become the pastor of the church in their hometown, but the small-town congregation keeps balking over calling an unmarried minister. Since Daniel needs a wife and Jessica wants a husband and family, she proposes an arrangement that benefits both of them.

They can get married. They can build a life together. They can celebrate Christmas as a couple. It's fine that he doesn't love her. And it's fine that she's not exactly suited to be a small-town pastor's wife. And it's fine that she's more attracted to her sexy, brooding husband every day.

Jessica can be practical about this marriage. She knows what she's getting into, after all...

This book includes fully-developed sex scenes between a husband and wife.

My Review:

3.5 star read!!

Heart felt, warm and spiritual!

This was a beautiful Friends to Lovers story with a non-conventional marriage twist..

Daniel was a Pastor and recent young widow. He hasn't been able to get over his tragic sudden loss, but won't let that get in his way of doing his job and being there for others.

Jessica was focused on her career and didn't give much thought to marriage since the only person she would have considered perfect was already taken. An unfortunate event brought her closer to her Best Friend and she's done everything possible to be supportive and understanding

Daniel & Jessica come to an agreement and marry for the convenience of it. She wants a family which he could provide and He needs to be a family man if he wants to be respected further in his congregation and it doesn't hurt that their best friends already and have a history of memories and do Love each other, but just not in that way or so they thought!

The story was pretty steamy and a bit angsty at parts when Daniela or Jessica would pull away due to the uncertainty of their feelings.. The Holidays and some Life altering events brought to light what should have been from the first.. They truly were meant to be together!
